About FileSendX

FileSendX is a web-based service for sending large files through expiring recipient links. Senders use an account; recipients download in a browser without creating one.

What the product does

A sender uploads one supported file, optionally adds a message and password, and receives a short link that can also be emailed to the recipient. The recipient opens the link in a browser. FileSendX records download counts and retains the sender's transfer history after the stored file bytes have expired.

This is temporary file delivery for client and team hand-offs. It is designed for transfers too large for ordinary email attachments, without the persistent folders or recipient onboarding of a cloud-storage workspace.

Controls and team features

Security model

Browser traffic is protected with HTTPS/TLS. Stored file objects use server-side AES-256 encryption and are stored in France. This is transport and storage encryption, not end-to-end or zero-knowledge encryption.

FileSendX does not antivirus-scan or analyze uploaded contents. It restricts uploads to an allow-list of common document, media, design, archive, CAD, font, and disk-image extensions; executable and script formats are excluded. The extension rule is a boundary, not a malware guarantee.
