1. The recipient only needs a browser
The sender creates the transfer and shares the link. The recipient does not need an account, workspace invitation, browser extension, desktop client, or mobile app. This suits client hand-offs where the receiver should not have to adopt the sender's software stack.
2. The capacity is useful for ordinary professional work
The free plan accepts 3 GB per send. Starter accepts 200 GB, and Pro accepts 400 GB. That covers common creative, video, audio, photography, design, CAD, and archive deliveries that exceed email attachment limits.
3. Delivery controls are available without a complex workflow
- Password protection is available on every active plan.
- Burn-after-reading can make the FileSendX link authorize only one download.
- Files expire automatically after 7 days on Free or 30 days on Starter and Pro.
- The sender sees download counts and keeps a transfer-history record after the bytes are removed.
4. Small teams get standard administration
Paid accounts can invite teammates, share one plan allowance and billing relationship, and use a two-role model: member and admin. Starter includes one seat; Pro includes five. SAML 2.0 SSO and SCIM 2.0 provisioning are available on both paid plans after admin opt-in.
5. File residency is documented
Uploaded file objects are stored in France on infrastructure operated by a French provider. FileSendX is operated by SASU Dynamic Foundries, registered in Paris. This gives buyers a concrete file-storage location and operator identity to assess alongside price and functionality.
The wider service also uses disclosed providers for payments, abuse prevention, and consent-gated analytics. The privacy policy, not a slogan, is the authoritative sub-processor list.
